We went to the Panasiatic Solutions Job Fare. It’s a new call center which hopes to get as much as 3000 employees. I have seen a lot of competitive people around and I know these people have what it takes to make it. We were endorsed to a recruitment officer by the name of Lucky . Upon first glance you would think that this lady is gentle of spirit and is also perceptive. She looks as if she has the sensitivity of a training officer. She also looks like an angel as one of the applicants remarked. Then she asked us to read. It was a surprise because other recruiters did not require it (there were around three recruiting kiosks and we thought we were lucky to be endorsed to Lucky..the name said it all).
After working for eight years in the industry, I know I have the necessary skills and accent to make it. I know I am capable as others should be on the waiting lists. Little did I know that I would be rejected like the rest of the competitive people I know. We waited for three hours on the line at the Government Center ! These guys texted me after. They said they didn’t make it and those people that Lucky hired were actually those that don’t have call center experience and were less competitive. Lucky turned out to be the Unlucky wall before us. Oh well that does it. There are still other s but then again this left me a lasting impression of the kind of people Pan Asiatic took for their recruitment department. And these very same people will be the downfall of the company four years from now.
Will I ever attempt to apply again as what the rejection slip told me to do? With these kinds of people how can I be assured of my tenure ship with the company? Do they make sound judgment? No. And my answer is also no.
Sad, I am sorry. I've been in that boat for years. I was a teacher and I was good! But there are just so many teachers. 300 for every opening. I've written but there just aren't the jobs here in Michigan either.
ReplyDeleteI hope something comes for you really soon!
Sorry you did not make it. After working in the industry for 8 years, I want to belive this is not the first time you've encountered events like this, and I presume you would have known by now that it is Job Fair, not "fare". At some point, we might believe in our capacity but it is always healthy to examine how we fare towards certain standards. Just saying. :)
ReplyDeleteKnow what..you are so bitter...its not the experience that let you failed. That's a hunch. I'm also working in the same industry. I just found out there were so many BIG HEADED people such as yourself who thinks highly of themselves. Gee grow up. You think its easy just to hire people just because they have experience? The experienced have the bigger horns than the small-fries. You might have failed in ATTITUDE as to how I understood this blog. You don't have the balls to accept failure. Grow up!
ReplyDeleteSame experience with Bacolod Panasiatic. I had been working with the BPO industry for 5 years in Cebu and in Manila as a Team Leader and a Manager as well. However, Pansaiatic never bothered to entertain me. I guess it's the insecurity factor for those who got employed ahead. They don't want people who are better than them. The other factor is the Bacolod culture. Well that's what Panasiatic likes and we can't do anything about it. My advise for experienced BPO guys who want to work with Panasiatic and be in their hometown? Revise your resume! and when you get in, show those non competent Negrenses how Cebu and Manila trained peepz can beat their ass out in terms of quality work;p. They don't have it anywayz. I swear, I heard them and saw their work 2 years ago in another Center and the CEO in Cebu was so disgusted mass hiring people from Bacolod.
ReplyDeleteI know why you weren't hired, your grammar is aweful. case in point-- "Little have I known that I would be rejected"---you probably mean, little did I know."Panasiatic Solutions Job Fare"--you mean "fair"? You keep on using the word competitive in the wrong context. Upon first glance--- At first glance.....she has the sensitivity of a training officer---what do you mean by this? Are trainers supposed to be sensitive??? this just justifies your rejection, 8 years in the BPO industry and still your grammar sucks. You are probably one of those "tikalun nga daw sa piho" mag inenglish, thats why you werent hired. Good for Lucky, na sense ya ang attitude mo.
ReplyDeletecould be that you're overqualified for the job? It could be the case.

ReplyDeleteHi Mrs. DJ....hehehehe!
ReplyDeletei've read your blog..i've read some posts above...and it's kinda sad that, you're seeing yourself as a much more competent individual than among others..and that'd TRUE..considering that you indeed have those long years of experience! my point is that, no matter how experienced, or inexperienced you are, that won't serve as a guarantee that you'll land a job! c'mon sir...i know you know that, all people are treated equal in the advent of new situations/opportunities such as this!

ReplyDeleteI passed the exams. They called me again. Suckers. I got the highest scores. But then again I am already working in another call center. I just want to prove that I am capable.

ReplyDeleteYou have made this blog because you didnt pass. You are a looser! Making it all right for the company not to hire you for this kind of attitude. Yes, it may not come with experience and skill but I am sure recruitment saw this kind of attitude in between. It is very unprofessional for you to say something negative about something after you didn't get something you want from it.

ReplyDeleteHahaha... Why is this such a big deal...??? Dude, move on and find another place of employment, you're making yourself look like a complete fool... If you want lessons I'm willing to help you, contact me at (928)382-5968... I'm willing to give you a lesson or two on how to treat a woman right... Come get some boi...!!! Hahaha...

ReplyDeletethat's life. rejection in not always consider to be a failure. here's a tip if you want to apply to call centers.
- make sure you pass the exams
- be best with interviews
- avoid fillers (interviewer hate's that)
- make sure you speak English fluently (not in a slang way)
- as experience - wear something "blue"
good luck(",)

--damu call centers gina patindog di sa bacolod, that means negrenses are not incompetent.---babyD
hmmp what if fresh graduate plang ang nag apply at ska wla pang experience,pd bang matanggap yun??
ReplyDelete@sha10: oo naman...baton gni under grad..
ReplyDelete"After working for eight years in the industry"?
what company you came from?
Don't be so "TIKALON kg DAKO ULO", you deserve not to hire because of your attitude..
ReplyDeletethey probably did not want to hire experienced applicants kasi mas mataas yung babayaran nila when it comes to salary and especially bonus. given the fact pa na na 3k yung gusto nilang agents. oh well. sa iba ka nlng. they skip pay days anyway. i have friends na hindi na sweldohan. sad. i know.
ReplyDeleteWow. Grabe nga mga comments bah. 1st of all, may right ang blogger mag blog sg gusto nya kay iya man n ya blog. Cn-o naghmbal nga MANDATORY nga basahon nyo haw? We were known to be sweet so I hope we uphold that trait...
ReplyDeleteIn other words, if u cant say anything nice, just shut up! Or use ur che-che speils-- for hate begets hate bala.
And with regard to blogging (nah ha, with regard, indi with regards.. well hopefully tsakto ko, indi man ko purpek), So far opinion nya man lang na sa isa ka company kag nagshare man lng siya experience. What didnt work for him may work for others, and vice versa. Leave a margin for errors. Experience nya man lng to ya. Pare-pareho lng man ta gapangita company nga ma suit sa aton competencies.
ambot nlg partly agree. I mean sa "someone" nga nghambal about sa experience. It doesn't mean that if you have more experience, your greater than the other pipXX.0__0, bad attitude my dear.
ReplyDeleteI failed a couple of times from different call centers dude...i thought im good enuff for the job..di pala!!! bt i did not quit,i applied again, got hired, promoted and quit for some stupid reason...applied again, failed the training and applied some more and uknow what i learned from those failures and Setbacks..The value of ACceptance and Humbleness....now training na ako.
ReplyDeleteYup... comments have said it all. True that. So what if you have what it takes to be hired? When it's not for you, it really is not for you. Agree to someone who said, you must have failed in attitude aspect. I mean, yeah! DON'T BE TOO COCKY. You just ended up disappointed of your own self the fact that you can't accept failure.
ReplyDelete*note: we're all entitled of our own opinion. =)
how satisfied is to receive the correct amount of your hardship??/guys question?are you all aware that salary that you always got is not enough? why because people who suppose to handle right the salary , always don't count it right...seem like don't know how to count?look at the payslip///even on that you can rely payslip you cant relay coz lie summation//// bunos should not be counted as a taxable amount i5t should be counted at the end of the year...on what certain amount should the tax will be taken ?of course on the basic pay right?...
ReplyDeletepanasiatic bacolod dont have system
ReplyDeletesucksssssssssssssssssss
hope one day everybody will rise up and tell what they feel....we are 99 percent same opinion
This sounds so absurd. It's not with the experience. If you weren't employed in PanAsiatic Solutions, I'm sure there are still OTHER call centers who will give more attention to your said EXPERIENCE. Maybe you've proven them that you're not worthy enough to be employed in their company. You sound like a pathetic loser seeking attention from people who doesn't need it. Can't you move on? I mean.. there are other call centers.. Take that piece of advice..
ReplyDeleteAnd last thing, it's sometimes based with the attitude. :) Good Luck!
Iam already a tier3 csr on this company and tenure ship ,panAsiatics values it, however even we have a low salary but for me ,it is the easiest account ever. This is my first job , and i didnt pass on the versant exam ,however lucky told me that i will need to go back after 2 days to have a retake of it. My point is, keep trying ,Its not about your job experience ,like 8 years... Its about sa DISKARTE!
Sa buwas i dont know if we will be called for versant training kay failed man ko. Wala ko man gani gina sugid kung pila na ka-years akon nga work sa BPO more than what most other people boast of.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you Timmy Sakata kay diskarte gid man ang Versant. Tanan nga exam pati computer technical skills tests 50 man to akon score.
ReplyDeleteyes.that is true,, But for me Panasiatic is one of my dream Job
ReplyDeleteid like to become an agent of this company.
